Modern Slavery Statement

Modern Slavery Statement for Man with Van Pimlico

Man with Van Pimlico is committed to conducting all aspects of its business in an ethical, responsible, and transparent manner. This Modern Slavery Statement explains the steps we take to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking in our operations and supply chains. It applies to all employees, contractors, agency workers, and suppliers involved in our services.

Our Commitment and Zero-Tolerance Policy

We operate a zero-tolerance policy towards all forms of modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour, and child labour. We are committed to upholding human rights and promoting fair working practices within our own activities and throughout our supply chain. No commercial objective overrides our commitment to preventing exploitation of any kind.

All individuals who work with or on behalf of Man with Van Pimlico are expected to act with integrity and to support our efforts to identify and address any potential risks related to modern slavery. We will not knowingly engage with any party that fails to uphold these standards.

Our Business and Supply Chain

Man with Van Pimlico provides transport, removals, and related services. Our operations involve drivers, vehicles, equipment, storage solutions, and a range of logistics and support services. Our supply chain includes vehicle leasing and maintenance providers, fuel suppliers, equipment and packaging providers, uniform and workwear suppliers, and recruitment and labour agencies, as well as other professional and support services.

We recognise that some elements of this supply chain may carry a higher risk of labour exploitation. As such, we are committed to a structured and proactive approach to assessing and mitigating these risks.

Supplier Standards and Audit Measures

We expect all suppliers, contractors, and service providers to comply with all applicable laws relating to modern slavery and human trafficking, and to uphold standards of fair pay, safe working conditions, and voluntary employment. Our supplier expectations are communicated during selection and onboarding processes, and form part of our ongoing commercial relationships.

Where proportionate and appropriate to the level of risk, we conduct audits and assessments of suppliers. These may include requesting information on labour practices, reviewing relevant policies and certifications, and, where necessary, carrying out site visits. If concerns are identified, we will work with the supplier to address them through corrective action plans. If improvements are not made within agreed timescales, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate the business relationship.

Reporting Channels and Whistleblowing

We encourage anyone who has concerns about modern slavery or unethical behaviour connected to our business or supply chain to report them without fear of retaliation. Concerns may relate to working conditions, recruitment practices, treatment of workers, or any suspicion of forced, bonded, or child labour.

Reports can be made to line managers, senior management, or designated company representatives. We treat all concerns seriously and, where appropriate, investigate them promptly, ensuring confidentiality is maintained as far as possible. No one will suffer any detrimental treatment as a result of raising a concern in good faith about potential modern slavery or human rights abuses.

Training and Awareness

We are committed to raising awareness of modern slavery risks among our staff and key partners. Relevant employees receive guidance on recognising possible indicators of exploitation and on the appropriate steps to take if they have concerns. As our business and risk profile evolve, we will continue to review and enhance our training and awareness initiatives.

Monitoring, Governance, and Annual Review

Responsibility for overseeing our approach to modern slavery rests with the senior management of Man with Van Pimlico. They are accountable for ensuring that appropriate policies, processes, and controls are in place and for reviewing their effectiveness.

This statement and our broader approach to modern slavery are reviewed at least annually, or more frequently if there are significant changes in our business, regulatory environment, or risk landscape. The review considers audit findings, reported concerns, supplier performance, and feedback from staff and other stakeholders. Where necessary, we update our policies, procedures, and training to strengthen our controls and improve outcomes.

This Modern Slavery Statement has been approved by the management of Man with Van Pimlico and reflects our ongoing commitment to preventing modern slavery and promoting ethical conduct in everything we do.
